TARGET AUDIENCE

Medical and Radiation Oncologists, Pulmonologists, Thoracic Surgeons, Pathologists, Oncology Nurses, Oncology Pharmacists, Fellows in Training, and Physicians in active clinical practice who are interested and/or involved in the management of patients with lung cancer.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Needs assessments for this CME activity were derived from documented Southern California epidemiological data, literature reviews and current clinical trials; needs presumed by the Program Committee and expressed needs from ACO members.

At the conclusion of this program, registrants should be able to evaluate:

  • recent clinical data regarding targeted therapy and adjuvant chemotherapy in the management of cancer patients
  • the role of adjuvant therapy for locally advanced disease
  • the current status of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for Stage II/III non-small cell lung cancer
  • new therapies and management strategies for metastatic non-small cell lung cancer
  • targeted molecular therapies and molecular and genetic assays for patients with lung cancer
