CME ACCREDITATION

The Southern California Academy of Clinical Oncology is accredited by
the
Institute for Medical Quality and the California Medical Association to provide
continuing medical education for physicians. The Southern California Academy
of Clinical Oncology takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific
integrity of this CME activity.
The Southern California Academy of Clinical Oncology designates this educational
activity for a maximum of 2.5 hours of Category 1 credit toward the California
Medical Association Certification in Continuing Medical Education and the AMA
Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours
of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

TARGET
AUDIENCE

Medical, Surgical and Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, Oncology Nurses, Oncology Pharmacists, Fellows in Training and physicians in active clinical practice who are interested and/or involved in the management of patients with breast cancer.
COURSE
OBJECTIVES

Needs assessments for this CME activity were derived from documented Southern
California epidemiological data, literature reviews and current clinical trials;
Needs presumed by the Program Committee and expressed needs from ACO members.
At the conclusion of this program, registrants should be able to discuss:
- Compare the advantages of the various aromatase inhibitors
in the treatment of breast cancer
- Determine the effectiveness of targeted therapy subsequent
to chemotherapy breast cancer adjuvant therapy
- Identify current best breast cancer chemotherapy
