TARGET
AUDIENCE

Hematologists, Medical, Surgical and Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists,
Oncology Nurses, Oncology Pharmacists, Fellows in Training and physicians in
active clinical practice who are interested and/or involved in the management
of patients with lymphomas and leukemias.
COURSE
OBJECTIVES

Needs assessments for this CME activity were derived from documented Southern
California epidemiological data, literature reviews and current clinical trials;
Needs presumed by the Program Committee and expressed needs from ACO members.
At the conclusion of this program, registrants should be able to discuss:
- Evaluate radiation therapy, autotransplantation and monoclonal antibody/chemotherapy
combinations in the treatment of large B cell lymphoma
- Discuss current status of radioimmunotherapeutic monoclonal antibody-based
therapy in the treatment of follicular lymphoma
- Compare various new agents, including dasatinib and AMN107 for imatinib-resistant
CML
- Determine the roles of alemtuzumab, rituximab and fludarabine for the
treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia
- Identify promising new agents in the treatment of MDS, including darbepoetin,
lenalidomide and decitabine
